Hi there. I recently applied to take both the 932 and 933 tests, but looking at some of this material I'm having second thoughts. I have SOME technical background with PC's and phone systems but it seems that I need to have a DEEP knowledge of electricity, electronics, mechanical knowledge (belts and pulleys etc.) and I have none of this.

I'm sure your guide is fine but I'm not going to learn all I need from it right? I'm wondering if I should even take the test.

Admin reply: The Guide was written to expose you to everything that is on the exam. One of the requirement for entry into the PO is to have 2 years of experience or 2 years of training. If you had 2 years of training you would still need the Guide. Sounds like you have experience but not the training. The Guide will take you through everything on the exam and in the end if you still do not understand there is a list of references to help you further. Since you have signed up for the exam you should take it just to see what is on it.

I just want to let you know that your guide helped me pass the test for Maintenance Mechanic. But the guide was not very user friendly. And there were quite a few typos. But if you stick with it, you should be able to get a passing grade. Gets my recommendation, but needs a serious update.

Admin reply: Was it the whole Guide or just the Pre-test? The Pre-test has been updated in the QSP. Making the 198 questions multi-choices would increase the size and cost of the Guide. The New Questions, only 50 questions used 6 pages. Making the 198 questions multi-choices would have added 24 pages or more. But, we have updated the 198 questions in the QSP package so that the questions and answers are on the same page.

Hey there, placed my order on a Saturday..had the QSP-II by Monday, and the book by Friday. Excellent service.

No problem understanding the instructions about the test..you clearly state the "KEY" is IN the manual.

There is more info here than I could ever learn...lots of great reference..this is stuff I have wanted to have handy..so that is just wonderful.

My only complaint...You say to take the pretest first, then study, then take the test again. I believe the post office gives this as a multi choice...if you were to do the same..it would help pinpoint our trouble spots.

But then...you have been doing this awhile..maybe you have found that taking this test cold with no multi choice, then the study, then the repeat test..maybe the study "sticks" better.

I will come back to let you know how I did...thanks!

I am puzzled as to why the answer sheet is so messed up. The original print date shows 1993 which allows for 15 years to correct the sheet and make it match. It is a real challenge to try and match the 198 questions to the 198 answers. Too much money paid for this to happen and its a shame because it is good study material.

Admin reply: Making the 198 questions multi-choices would increase the size and cost of the Guide. The New Questions, only 50 of them, used 6 pages. But, we have updated the 198 questions in the QSP package so that the questions and answers are on the same page.

I was wondering if I could download a copy of your book to a flash drive. Some other companies ban you from changing the download directory. I'll be sure to purchase your book if given the liberty.
thanks!

Admin reply: The Guide is not available for download. The QSP ($9.95 ) only can be downloaded. See the Site http://usps.fact7b.com

I am taking test in 5 days and wanted to refresh on some things as I have been out of electronics for 15 years. I read through the comments before ordering and determined that most of the complaints were from people that didn't understand the mailing instructions. I ordered my copy on June 24th and received it on the 25th. There are a lot of typos in the 10 or 15 pages I have reviewed so far out of 200 or so pages, but they are not so bad that you don't understand the point.

To whom it may concern

Where are the correct answers to the pre-test for the study guide?

From 1-196 the answers are wrong

For an example #29

Q. What is a transistor made of?
A. Lock out and tag equipment to prevent possible electrical shock

Admin reply: Were the instruction followed you received with the QSP OR did you follow the instruction at the bottom of the first page of the test?
The Key to old questions is found on page 183 in the Guide.
Pretest, page 1, question 1 in the Guide, the answer according to the Key is 107. 107 is on page 8 in the answers to pretest.
Pretest, page 5, question 198 in the Guide, the answer according to the Key is 196. 196 is on page 12 in the answers to pretest.
The key to question found on pages188-192 is found on page 193. The answer to the first question found on page 188 is A: analog-to-digital converter
The answer to the 50th question found on page 192 is D: Class D
The answer to question 51 is B:RAM. This answer has been added to the email for the QSP. It was an oversight.
We would appreciate any help you have to offer in relation to "grammatic errors and spelling errors." We would like the Guide to be the best of the best so all candidates can do their best
